Radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation, from sources such as mobile phones and base stations, has been classified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer as a possible human carcinogen despite study results not being consistent

In March 2019 researchers from Poland published their review on the mobile phone radiation and its effect on health. The researchers stated that exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation, from sources such as mobile phones and base stations, has been classified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer as a possible human carcinogen (group 2B). Many studies have been undertaken but the findings have not been consistent and need to be repeated to verify results. In addition studies looking at the effects of radiofrequency electromagnetic fields on brain activity, sleep, heart rate, cognitive function and blood pressure have also produced inconsistent results. Further research is therefore urgently required as exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation is increasing rapidly.
