A higher dietary inflammatory index score appears to increase the risk of cancer

In November 2018 researchers from Iran published their review of the medical scientific literature to assess the association between a dietary inflammatory index score and the risk of cancer. A total of 10 studies were included in the review. Results showed that that the most pro-inflammatory diets were significantly associated with an increased risk for cancer when compared with the most anti-inflammatory diets.
