Yoga appears to reduce certain lower urinary tract symptoms, eg incontinence, by increasing the strength of the pelvic floor muscles

In February 2019 researchers from China and the USA published their review of the medical scientific literature to assess the effect of yoga on lower urinary tract symptoms, including stress urinary incontinence, urinary frequency, nocturia and urinary urgency with and without incontinence.  A total of 8 studies were included in the review. Results showed that yoga may reduce certain lower urinary tract symptoms by increasing the strength of the pelvic floor muscle and/or regulating the autonomic nervous system and activating the central nervous system.
