- Parathyroid
- Thymus
- Adrenal
- Pancreas
- Ovaries
- Testes
The endocrine system helps to control the following processes and systems:
- Growth and development
- Homeostasis (internal balance of body systems)
- Metabolism (energy levels)
- Reproduction
- Response to stimuli (stress and/or injury; central nervous system)
